Peer Place
Peer Place is a weekday program for adults who have aged out of special education programs and are looking for continued development in life skills, social support, and fun! Peer Place meets Monday – Thursday from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm at First Baptist Hendersonville.
Other areas of focus include budgeting and money changing skills, health and hygiene, plant care, navigating household chores, crafts and pen pal programs, and community engagement with special visitors from all over Sumner County.
Peer Place also celebrates the differences that make each student special, such as World Down Syndrome Day, World CP Day, and World Autism Day. Additionally, special activities are planned for calendar holidays like Valentines, Halloween, Christmas, and Easter.
